My Thoughts for Grandma

(Daisy's Grandma passed away recently after a long struggle with cancer. Daisy wrote the following poem and read it out at her funeral.)

My Thoughts for Grandma

Grandma is...
someone who knows me so well.
She took care of me when I was a baby
and wrapped me in her love.

Grandma is...
a person who persevere
and is always there to solve
the biggest problems that you have.

Grandma is...
a person to look up to.
She will encourage you to do the right thing
and is always happy to be with you.

Grandma is...
pretty, kind and thoughtful,
and a lovely friend to have.
She will always guide you on your way.

Grandma is...
someone who helped me with my homework.
She always played with me,
and when there was no one else around
she took car of me in her own special way.

Grandma is...
the perfect grandma for me.

The Seaside

Summer time is fun
Everybody was splashing in the sea
A man caught a crab in a net
Searching for shiny fish
I saw a ship in the distance
Dancing donkeys that never stop
Exploring for shells in the rock pools

Searching for beautiful crabs

I went in a rock pool

Dolphins are very fast

Everyone is building sandcastles in the sand

A lovely picnic is coming

Sand is really really hot

I love swimming

Donkeys are going down the beach

Everything is fun at the seaside
