The First Christmas Part One ~ Class 2

Class 2 have been writing the first part of the Christmas story thinking about using interesting adjectives to form expanded noun phrases. Here are a couple of excellent examples that we shared with the class. We hope that you enjoy them too.

Long, long ago and even further away there was a girl called Mary. One day she had a surprise. She saw a beautiful angel that had wings that blazed like fire. The angel told Mary that she was going to have a baby called Jesus and he went to Joseph to tell him about it and he was going to have to get married to Mary and they did. They went all the way to Bethlehem, Mary went on a donkey. When they got there she rubbed her eyes in disbelief. They had to find somewhere to stay. They went to the first inn keeper but he said sorry there is no room left. Then the next innkeeper said sorry no room left. Then he said go in the stables.

Long ago there was a girl called Mary and she was going to marry boy called Joseph. She looked out of the window and there was an angel and Angle Gabriel said to her "Your baby is going to be called Jesus and he will be the king". So they travelled to Bethlehem on the old, grey donkey. He was slow and weary. At last they got there and they asked a man and he said "There is no room at the inn for you, try up the rocky road". They asked him and he said " I am full but I have enough room in the stable".  So Jesus was born in the old stable and he was king.
