Killer Chiller 50!

Could you create a chilling story in not more than 50 words? That was the challenge for Class 3. They had to make sure that every word was chosen for maximum impact. With only fifty words to use they couldn't afford to waste a single one!

My Toy Story
Mika Jakeman- Johnson Y3

I was lying in bed trying to get to sleep. It was dark and foggy. Suddenly my toy cars started to switch on lights and engines. Larva slushed out of the rocket lamp. The puppet spoke to the slithering snake. Tigers and cheetahs padded across my quilt. The floorboards creaked ....

The Beast
Thalia Patel Y4

The beast snarled threateningly in the dead of night in the deserted town hall; three horror-struck children were cornered. Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. Just them, the beast and death. If only they had listened to mum was the last thought they had. The beast launched. He exists.

The End
Byron Capitano Y4

Menacingly, the shrieking laughter pounded into Jimmy's ears. A shadowy image approached him slowly. A gentle breeze brushed his cheek and Jimmy knew it was close. As quick as lightning, he tugged the duvet over his head and tried to stop his trembling legs. A horrifying scream left Jimmy's mouth .....

The Tunnel
Eva Bedford Y4

The train entered a long dark tunnel. Millie could feel warm stale breath on her cheek and could sense a figure looming in front of her ominously close. There were flashes of purple light in the carriage and a scratching sound from the luggage rack. And then ... a piercing scream ....

Escape
Ruby Warrior Y4

The blood chilling scream filled the dark, cold air. Shivers raced down my back like a fingernail scratching as I stumbled through graves. Shadows scrambled among the trees as the scream cried out again, this time louder. I raced towards the gate, heart pounding as from nowhere the figure approached.
